Sunshine before new wave of rainstorms

Hai Duong province is likely to experience a new wave of showers and thunderstorms around the night of August 31.

As forecast by the provincial Hydrometeorological Station, due to the impact of a compressed and gradually filled trough, whose axis is at around 25 – 27 degrees north latitude, there will be variable clouds, sunshine, and scattered showers and thunderstorms at night in the province from August 29 to 31.

Temperature will peak at 33 – 34 degrees Celsius and bottom out at 24 – 26 degrees Celsius.

Because the trough tends to be active again in combination with aloft wind convergence, the province is likely to experience a new wave of showers and thunderstorms from the night of August 31.

It will be cloudy and rainy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. There is a possibility of whirlwinds, lightning, and gusts of wind during rainstorms. Winds will blow southeastward at levels 2 – 3.

The wave of rainstorms is likely to last until September 3.
