Over 2,320 ha on both sides of North – South road planned

The People's Committee of Hai Duong province has approved a general construction plan for both sides of the North – South road's southern route in five communes of Gia Loc district and seven communes of Ninh Giang district with a total studied area of more than 2,320 ha.

The planned area starts at the intersection of the North – South road and national highway 38B's section crossing Gia Loc district and ends at the intersection of the North – South road and provincial road 396B adjacent to Hong Phuc – Hung Long industrial cluster in Ninh Giang district.

The planned area will be divided into mixed, ecological, industrial – housing, and industrial subdivisions.

This will be an economic development corridor of the province with strong development of industry, services, and new residential areas.

It is forecast that the population of the planned area will rise from 2,700 at present to 20,000 in 2025 and 35,000 in 2035 (mainly mechanical population increase due to the development of services and industry).

The entire North – South road is about 60 km long with the southern route nearly 20 km long.
