Hai Duong has planned to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for policy beneficiaries in the province in 2025 with a budget of 117.2 billion VND.
Hai Duong province is striving to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for households living near or below the poverty line by July 1, according to Director of the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs Bui Thanh Tung.
The province also plans to complete housing support for revolution contributors and relatives of martyrs living in temporary or severely-damaged houses by October 1.
The province has drafted a budget of 117.2 billion VND to achieve these goals. The aid for building a new house is 100 million VND, and that for repairing an existing one is 50 million VND.
The Central budget will cover 80% of the costs for 1,058 houses designated for revolution contributors and relatives of martyrs.
Each newly-built house will receive 60 million VND, while 30 million VND will be allocated for the repair of each existing house, amounting to around 36.6 billion VND in total.
Apart from the Central funding, the local budget is expected to contribute 80.6 billion VND to the work.
