Hai Duong leaders visit and present gifts to families entitled to housing support

Hai Duong leaders emphasized that eliminating makeshift and dilapidated housing is a profoundly meaningful effort toward disadvantaged individuals and those who have contributed to the revolution.

Hai Duong provincial leaders on June 12 visited and presented gifts to outstanding households that received support for building or repairing homes under the province’s program to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated housing.

Among them, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang visited and gave gifts to three families in Nam Dong ward, Hai Duong city, including war veteran Nguyen Van Nha (born in 1934), Doan Thi Hien (born in 1963), daughter of a fallen soldier, and Le Thi Hoa (born in 1968), a member of a poor household.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Van Hieu visited, encouraged, and gave gifts to Do Thi Khay, a near-poor household in Nhue Son hamlet, An Son commune; Nguyen Xuan Tiep, a victim of Agent Orange in Ngo Dong hamlet, Nam Hung commune; and Nguyen Thi Van, a poor household in Nhan Le hamlet, Dong Lac commune, Nam Sach district.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Ngoc Chau visited and gave gifts to three families, including those with meritorious service to the revolution, poor, and near-poor households, namely Nguyen Thi Hao (born in 1960) in Tien Dinh residential area, Cong Hoa ward; Nguyen Quoc Su (born in 1942) in Dai Bat residential area, Hoang Tan ward; and Nguyen Thi Huong (born in 1968) in Hoang Gian new residential area, Hoang Tien ward, Chi Linh city.

The provincial leaders expressed their heartfelt care, offered encouragement, and shared in the joy of the policy beneficiaries and poor families who had just received housing construction or repair support.

They emphasized that eliminating makeshift and dilapidated housing is a profoundly meaningful effort that reflects the deep concern of the Party and State, as well as the solidarity of the community, toward disadvantaged individuals and those who have contributed to the revolution.

The leaders expressed their hope that these families would continue striving to improve their lives. They also called on Party committees and local authorities at all levels to uphold the tradition of “remembering the source when drinking water,” “mutual support,” and “the intact leaf shelters the torn one,” working toward the goal of “leaving no one behind.”

According to the provincial Steering Committee for the Elimination of Makeshift and Dilapidated Housing, as of June 9, the province had completed house construction for 599 out of 691 households (86.7%) and completed house repair for 760 out of 761 households (99.9%). Hai Duong aims to complete the entire program by June 20.
