Hai Duong province attracted 138 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first quarter of 2025.
FDI inflows into Hai Duong province in the first three months of 2025 totaled 138 million USD, a surge of 85.6% year on year, according to the provincial Department of Finance.
The province licensed nine new FDI projects with a total registered capital of 49.8 million USD; approved the addition of 86.9 million USD to 19 existing projects; and recorded four share purchases and capital contributions worth 1.3 million USD in the first quarter of the year.
At the same time, the province approved 14 new domestic direct investment (DDI) projects with a total registered capital of more than 8,600 billion VND and allowed 41 ongoing projects to receive additional investment of over 3,300 billion VND.
The DDI projects focused on the fields of logistics, agricultural processing, trade and services, industrial production, industrial park technical infrastructure, etc.
Typically, a project to build a center for logistics services, a petroleum and cargo port, petroleum warehouses, and a commercial service zone in Kinh Mon town had a budget of more than1,687 billion VND, the largest DDI project from the beginning of the year.
