171 Hai Duong athletes to attend 9th National Games

Leaders of the province present flowers to the provincial high performance sport delegation to compete in the 9th National Games

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 9th provincial Games, suggested that the delegation concentrate well on preparing the force and conditions to participate in the National Games with the goal of making excellent achievements to preserve Hai Duong’s position in the top 10 provinces, cities, and sectors.

The provincial regimes and policies for coaches and athletes should be effectively and promptly implemented, especially the policy on unexpected bonuses and support for athletes winning gold medals or breaking national records.

171 Hai Duong athletes will compete in the 9th National Games from November 18 to December 20 in seven localities: Ha Noi (shooting, wrestling, swimming, diving, and track and field), Hai Phong (boat racing and aerobics), Ninh Binh (karate), Thanh Hoa (weightlifting and Muay Thai), Hai Duong (table tennis), Bac Ninh (tennis and boxing), and Quang Ninh (archery, pencak silat, wushu, fencing, and badminton).

The provincial delegation set a target of winning 22 - 24 gold, 27 silver, and 26 bronze medals.
