WHO presents sphygmomanometers to Hai Duong health sector

The head of the WHO's Representative Office in Vietnam presents 205 electronic sphygmomanometers to the Health Department leader

The Hai Duong Health Department, the Representative Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy on July 8 and 9 co-organized a training course for 60 medical workers in charge of management and treatment of hypertension and diabetes in the province.

Hai Duong is one of provinces chosen by the WHO to implement a non-communicable disease management program at grassroots medical level.

There has been Tu Ky district starting the management and treatment of hypertension and diabetes at health stations.

In the coming time, the Health Department will deploy the management of the two diseases at all commune, ward, and district town health stations in the province.

On this occasion, the head of the WHO's Representative Office in Vietnam presented 205 electronic sphygmomanometers to the provincial health sector. The devices will be allocated to health stations.
