Visitors to Hai Duong up nearly 58% in seven months

Hai Duong province welcomed as many as 1,594,270 tourists in the first seven months of 2024, a surge of 57.98% year on year, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Tourism Management Division.

During the reviewed period, domestic and international arrivals numbered 1,550,010 and 44,260, up 58.16% and 52% respectively compared to the same period last year.

Total revenue from tourism activities amounted to 695.724 billion VND, a sharp rise of 53.39% against the same period in 2023.

In July alone, the number of visitors to Hai Duong province reached 126,237, an increase of 44.25% over the same period last year, including 121,286 domestic tourists and 4,951 foreign vacationers, up 44.2% and 45.5% respectively, bringing a revenue of 72,095 billion VND, up 44.67%.

The number of tourists in the first seven months of the year sharply increased thanks to tourist attractions’ focus on tourism development associated with attractive experiential services, improvement of service quality, wide propaganda, infrastructure investment...

Especially, steps to propose recognition of Con Son-Kiep Bac relic site in Chi Linh city and Kinh Chu-Nham Duong complex in Kinh Mon town as world heritage are being completed, and Dao Co (Stork Island) national relic in Thanh Mien district has been recognized as a provincial-level tourist site, drawing the attention of many tourists.
