Foreign visitors to Hai Duong surge 269 times

Tourist attractions in Hai Duong province welcomed more than 710,000 visitors in the first quarter of 2023, up four times year on year, reported the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

There were nearly 696,000 domestic tourists and approximately 14,800 foreign ones, 3.9 and 269 times higher than the same period last year, respectively.

The tourism sector raked in 282.4 billion VND in revenue, up five times against the corresponding period in 2022.

The culture, sports, and tourism sector, tourist attractions, and localities actively organized a lot of activities and events to attract visitors during the reviewed period, notably festivals at Con Son – Kiep Bac relic site, Mao Dien temple of literature, the temples of Cao An Phu, Cao An Lac, and Tranh, Mo Trach communal house, and Bach Hao pagoda.

There were various forms of propaganda in order to widely spread the image of Hai Duong tourism.
