The Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the People's Committee of Hai Duong city co-organized a rally at An Thuong commune Primary School on October 6 morning to respond to the 2022 Clean Up the World campaign.

At the event, representatives of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the city People's Committee affirmed the meaning and important role of environmental protection towards sustainable development.

Environmental protection acts of each individual and collective will contribute to changing the world. In which, it is necessary to focus on solving existing environmental problems, closely controlling and monitoring areas gathering many waste sources in industrial zones, industrial clusters, trade villages, river basins, and hot spots for environmental pollution; collect, classify, transport, and treat arising waste in accordance with regulations; minimize the use of non-biodegradable plastic bags and disposable plastic products; increase the use of environmentally friendly products; etc.

The representatives of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the city People's Committee suggested that local leaders direct organizations and unions to actively propagandize the Clean Up the World campaign and participate in environmental protection with specific and practical actions.

The Clean Up the World campaign, initiated by Australia in 1993, is an opportunity to call on organizations and individuals to join in activities to improve and protect the environment. The theme of the 2022 campaign is "Taking action together to change the world".
