Putting entire political system in highest state of epidemic prevention

Mr. Pham Xuan Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Duong province, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, on July 14 presided over the 30th meeting of the provincial Party Committee's Standing Board.

The provincial Party Committee's Standing Board heard the provincial Steering Board for Covid-19 Prevention and Control report on the epidemic prevention situation and a plan for vaccination in the province and the Steering Board for Development and Implementation of the Program to Promote Eastern Cultural Values and Make Hai Duong People Meet Development Requirements in the 2021 – 2025 Period report on the draft program.

Concluding the meeting, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Pham Xuan Thang stressed that Covid-19 may break out again in Hai Duong at any time. Party committees and authorities at all levels must continue to strengthen leadership, direction, and strict execution of epidemic prevention measures and put the entire political system in the highest state of epidemic prevention.

The provincial Party Committee's Standing Board required Steering Boards for Epidemic Prevention and Control at all levels to continue regular and continuous propaganda, avoid subjectivity and neglectfulness in epidemic prevention, require people to seriously continue 5K implementation, and strictly control those coming or returning to Hai Duong from epidemic-hit areas.

Local authorities should reinforce and increase the activities of Community Covid teams to strictly control residents and cough and fever cases in the community.

Covid Safety teams should well control people coming from other localities to work for agencies, units, and businesses; intensify inspection of epidemic prevention at enterprises, workshops, and factories, resolutely stop the operation of violating cases, and only allow resumption after violations are remedied; etc.

Local authorities should urgently consolidate Steering Boards for Epidemic Prevention and Control at all levels.

District People's Committees should base themselves on the actual situation in their localities to decide to take appropriate anti-epidemic measures and bear responsibility for their decisions.

Regarding the plan for vaccination against Covid-19 in the province, the provincial Party Committee's Standing Board required quick, wide, and safe vaccination of the right subjects.

The health sector should proactively arrange human resources, organize vaccination training, study the organization of mobile immunization sites to ensure progress and efficiency, complete the 4th vaccination phase in July, and ensure that all forces directly involved in epidemic prevention and control would be vaccinated.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Pham Xuan Thang required the Steering Board for Development and Implementation of the Program to Promote Eastern Cultural Values and Make Hai Duong People Meet Development Requirements in the 2021 – 2025 Period to supplement a vision to 2030 to draw up targets, tasks, and measures to implement the program in the next 10 years and define that the highest goal of the program is to improve the cultural position of Hai Duong and the provincial people to meet the requirement of developing Hai Duong into a modern industrial province in 2030.

Key goals in each field must be really specific, quantifiable, and feasible for implementation in each year, each period and assessment of implementation results as well as the overall cultural development picture of the province.

Works and projects to develop tangible cultural values require investment separation, determination and mobilization of investment resources.

As for intangible cultural values, the steering board should soon organize a scientific conference to properly evaluate the core values in the process of Hai Duong cultural history to arouse pride and aspiration to develop and take Hai Duong to a higher position worthy of its historical and cultural traditions.
