The extension of provincial road (PR) 396’s section from PR 391 to PR 390 was advocated at the 8th session of the 17th People’s Council of Hai Duong province on June 24.
The project aims to complete the regional traffic infrastructure network as planned, form the outermost ring axis of the province that will connect the districts of Binh Giang, Thanh Mien, Ninh Giang, Tu Ky, and Thanh Ha, and link Ha Noi – Hai Phong expressway with national highway 37.
The start point is the intersection of the East-West trunk road and PR 391 at km 24 + 600 in Cong Lac commune, Tu Ky district, and the end point (around km 7 + 646.85) is the intersection of PR 390 and the road to Quang Thanh bridge around km 35 + 181.37 in Thanh Cuong commune, Thanh Ha district.
The route will be about 7.65 km long, including about 3.9 km in Tu Ky district and around 3.75 km in Thanh Ha district.
PR 390’s section from km 6 + 040 to km 7 + 646.85 (the length of the project) in Thanh Ha district will be renovated and upgraded according to the scale of a 3rd-grade plain road with an 11m wide surface. The total length of the route will be about 1.61 km.
The total investment in the project is expected to exceed 846.4 billion VND from the provincial budget in medium-term public investment plans for 2021 – 2025 and 2026 – 2030 periods.
