Paper factory granted environmental protection permit

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has licensed Thanh Dung Co., Ltd. in Long Xuyen industrial cluster, Kinh Mon provincial town, to carry out environmental protection activities of its kraft paper factory.

The licence is valid for 77 months as from December 30, 2022.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment required the company to implement permitted issues only after completion of corresponding environmental protection works; regularly and properly run waste treatment works, ensuring that treated waste meets environmental technical standards; work out measures to minimize noise and vibration and manage waste in accordance with legal provisions; and take responsibility before the law when pollutants, noise, and vibration fail to meet requirements.

Thanh Dung Co., Ltd.’s factory produces kraft paper from recycled materials which are imported scrap.

The project covers a total area of 66,700 m2. The factory has a total capacity of 70,000 tons of products/ year.

The production process includes paper scrap – pulping – cleaning (filtering, sieving) – shaping – pressing – drying – gluing – flattening – rolling – finished product (kraft paper).
