Outstanding balance at credit institutions rises by 4.2%

According to Hai Duong branch of the State Bank, by the end of May, the total outstanding balance of the provincial banking sector had exceeded VND94,100 billion, up 4.2% over the end of 2020.

In which, short-term outstanding loans rose by 4.5%; medium- and long-term outstanding loans, 3.5%; and foreign currency loans, 15.7%.

Outstanding loans in a number of fields like agriculture and rural development reached VND41,500 billion, accounting for 44% of the total outstanding balance, support for small- and medium-sized enterprises amounted to VND18,700 billion, exports were valued at VND3,600 billion, and policy credits totaled VND3,720 billion.

Credit institutions in the province have offered many lending solutions suitable to each time of the Covid-19 epidemic; concentrated capital and curbed expenses to lower lending rates for customers in priority investment fields, such as agriculture and rural development, supporting industries, small- and medium-sized enterprises, and policy credits, as well as assisting customers in restoring production and business due to the impact of the epidemic.
