238,294 workers have returned to enterprises having trade unions in Hai Duong province after Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday, reaching nearly 90% of the workforce.
By February 5, 238,294 workers had returned to enterprises having trade unions in Hai Duong province after Tet, reaching nearly 90% of the workforce, according to the provincial Labor Confederation.
The remaining laborers are mainly from remote localities or busy with family matters so they cannot go to work on time.
Besides, a number of enterprises have not resumed operation.
Some businesses that employ a large number of workers from other provinces proactively arranged cars to pick them up or provided travel expenses before Tet.
On the first days of work, most companies organized meetings to wish employees a happy new year and encourage them, creating a vibrant working atmosphere.
The high number of employees returning to work after the Tet holiday was attributed to trade unions and enterprises’ good implementation of salary, bonus, and welfare policies and diversified forms of caring for employees' lives, according to the provincial Labor Confederation.
Employees’ working style and sense of discipline are increasingly improved, helping enterprises soon stabilize production and business.
