Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Minh Hung received and worked with a delegation from Sakura Cooperative, an organization under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), on December 15 morning on a survey for implementation of a project to build a centralized management and application system from training to job support for Vietnam's elderly care workforce.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Minh Hung highly appreciated the objective of the project to be carried out in Hai Duong by the cooperative.
He hoped that the cooperative would help Hai Duong nursing students study and access modern medical knowledge, machinery, and equipment in Japan to improve their professional qualifications, bring into play their ability, and actively contribute to the care for and protection of people's health upon returning home; provide materials serving the training process for universities and colleges training medical students in Hai Duong; care about assisting Hai Duong province in other training fields related to health apart from training and retraining nurses; etc.
The vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee required the Departments of Health, Education and Training, and Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Hai Duong Medical College to coordinate and create the most favorable conditions for the delegation from Sakura Cooperative to approach and survey necessary information to carry out the project in Hai Duong.
Representatives of Sakura Cooperative said this is the first time the project has been approved by the Japanese Government for implementation in Vietnam in general and Hai Duong in particular.
The project is aimed at contributing to strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in training and job support for caretakers of people, including the elderly.
