Hai Duong sees surges in newly-established businesses, registered capital

Hai Duong is home to nearly 18,300 businesses with a total charter capital of close to 212,000 billion VND (illustrative image)

Hai Duong province counted 794 new businesses with a total registered capital of over 6,800 billion VND in the first five months of 2023, up 71 businesses and over 1,000 billion VND year on year, according to the Department of Planning and Investment.

436 enterprises in the province resumed their operation during the reviewed period.

Meanwhile, 690 companies registered to cease operation, and 65 others dissolved.

Hai Duong is home to nearly 18,300 businesses with a total charter capital of close to 212,000 billion VND.

The province is striving to increase the number of newly-established enterprises by 15% each year.
