Trainees practice working skills before going to Japan to work under contract
Nearly 1,500 people in Hai Duong went to work abroad under contract from the beginning of the year to March 14, up nearly seven times year on year, according to the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs.
Japan remains the dominant market with nearly 60% of the Hai Duong laborers sent to the country.
Most of Hai Duong's large and traditional recruitment markets such as Taiwan (China), the Republic of Korea, and Japan are open to Vietnamese guest workers this year with many preferential policies, unlike this time last year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Some new markets like Singapore and Romania also have higher demands for Vietnamese guest workers.
The Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs is following up the labor market and increasing linkages to seek opportunities for Hai Duong laborers to safely work overseas with good incomes.
The department has also intensified recommendations and propaganda to keep people from labor export frauds.
