Hai Duong sees high growth in key industries

Hai Duong province’s index of industrial production (IIP) in April rose by 15.1% over the same period last year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

In the first four months of 2024, the province’s IIP posted an increase of 14.3%.

The highlight in the province's industrial production in the first months of the year is that a number of industries that made up large proportions saw high growth, affecting the overall index.

The electricity production and distribution industry enjoyed a rise of 21.2% due to the mobilization of thermal power plants’ production with high output right from the beginning of the year.

Pha Lai Thermal Power JSC. successfully remedied the problem of unit No. 6, leading to a surge of up to 70.3% in the company’s electricity output compared to the same period last year.
