Hai Duong's population exceeds 2.1 million

Hai Duong is home to 2,105,241 people and 643,266 households, the provincial Police has announced according to the national population database.

Hai Duong city is the most populous locality in the province with 92,132 households and 310,623 people, followed by Kinh Mon provincial town with 61,521 households and 195,590 people.

Tu Ky district and Chi Linh city came third and forth with 59,909 and 59,734 households, 190,192 and 183,972 people, respectively.

The remaining districts have over 134,700 – over 169,000 people each.

Binh Giang district is the least populous locality in the province with 40,041 households and 134,707 people.

The data do not reflect the accurate number of people currently staying and living in the province. Many Hai Duong natives living in other localities instead of Hai Duong were also counted.
