Hai Duong ranks 11th in FDI attraction

Hai Duong province had lured more than 10.3 billion USD in FDI by early 2024, making it the 11^th largest destination of FDI in the country, according to the Department of Planning and Investment.

The FDI was poured into 542 projects, 480 of which are in the field of processing and manufacturing with a total registered capital of more than 9.8 billion USD, 43 projects in the service sector with nearly 317 million USD in capital, and the rest in the agricultural sector.

These projects came from 27 countries and territories, mostly Asian ones (90%). China’s Hong Kong took the lead in FDI, accounting for 40%, followed by Japan and the Republic of Korea with 16% and 15.4%, respectively.
