Revenue of foreign-invested businesses in Hai Duong province remained positive amidst international and domestic difficulties.
Foreign-invested (FDI) businesses in Hai Duong province earned an estimated 5.8 billion USD in revenue in the first nine months of 2023, up 20.8% year on year, according to the Department of Planning and Investment.
This is a positive growth rate in the context of many international and domestic difficulties, which made FDI enterprises encounter such problems as labor shortage and rising production costs.
FDI enterprises’ export value was estimated at 4.8 billion USD, an increase of 14.3% against the same period in 2022; and import value, 23.3%.
Their tax and budget payments approximated to 330 million USD, a rise of 10%.
Hai Duong is home to 445 FDI projects, providing jobs for more than 230,000 direct workers and tens of thousands of indirect ones.
