Giant Mid-Autumn Festival mascot-shaped lanterns ready to light up Chi Linh streets

Communes and wards of Chi Linh city in Hai Duong province have basically finished making mascot-shaped lanterns for the Mid-Autumn Festival, scheduled for September 29 evening, within the framework of the 2023 Hai Duong – Chi Linh Festival.

Carp symbolizes the courage to overcome all difficulties and challenges to develop and make breakthroughs, like a carp turning into a dragon. This is part of the meaning of the “Carp dances in the moonlight” lantern of Hoang Tien ward

The winged horse lantern of Hoang Tan ward, 3m in height, 3m in length, 1m in width, and 3m in wingspan, is a symbol of the desire to reach summits. “Land spirit turns into a golden dragon” is the theme of the lantern of Sao Do ward. 7m long and more than 3m high, it is one of large mascot-shaped lanterns to be present at the Mid-Autumn Festival. The energetic golden dragon symbolizes a rising Sao Do in the overall development of Chi Linh city
