Hai Duong witnessed the thriving of foreign-invested (FDI) enterprises in the province in the first nine months of 2024, with an estimated revenue of 7 billion USD.
FDI enterprises in Hai Duong province showed effective operation in the first nine months of 2024 with high increases in export and import values, reported the provincial Department of Planning and Investment on October 17.
The FDI businesses obtained some 7 billion USD in turnover in the reviewed period, up 12% year on year.
In particular, their export and import values were estimated at 6.6 billion USD and 4.5 billion USD, surging by 35.4% and 21.6%, respectively, over the same period in 2023.
The enterprises also paid about 400 million USD to the State budget, a rise of 21% against the corresponding period last year and created jobs for about 230,000 direct workers and thousands of indirect ones.
There are 587 valid FDI projects, including 498 active ones, in Hai Duong province with a total registered investment of nearly 10.6 billion USD, close to 9.2 billion USD of which has been disbursed.
This year, the province aims for attraction of 500 million USD in FDI and disbursement of at least 850 million USD to carry out FDI projects.
Meanwhile, the FDI enterprises are expected to earn 9 billion USD in turnover and pay more than 500 million USD to the State budget in 2024.
