Hai Duong has recently recorded many Covid-19 cases among workers, prompting enterprises in industrial parks (IP) to strengthen preventive measures to protect employees and stabilize production and business.

GCP Vietnam Co., Ltd.’s branch in Dai An IP has organized Covid-19 testing for its employees every Monday since the number of cases started to increase.

Covid-19 screening is necessary to limit the infiltration of the disease that may affect production and business activities, according to the company’s employee Nguyen Ngoc Suong.

Both workers and visitors to the enterprise are subject to the process.

Its health department will guide workers to perform quarantine measures in accordance with regulations if any Covid-19 case is detected.

There are 17 active businesses with thousands of employees in An Phat high-tech IP.

The IP Authority regularly requires the enterprises to strictly comply with the provincial authorities’ directions and the Health Department’s instructions to take the initiative in Covid-19 prevention.

Most of the companies have so far worked out specific preventive plans for each department and methods to deal with Covid-19 cases.

They constantly update themselves on the Covid-19 vaccination rate to ensure that all employees get the 4th shot.

Tan A Aluminum Co., Ltd. in Lai Vu IP still maintained many preventive measures, including persuading employees to wear face masks at work and limiting crowded gatherings, although Covid-19 was controlled in the past time, according to Nguyen Thi Huong, Head of the company’s Administration and Human Resources Department.

The firm frequently updates its Covid-19 prevention and control group on Zalo on the epidemic situation in the province and Vietnam.

Workers having symptoms of Covid-19 must notify this group for the company to take appropriate quarantine measures.

“We place hand sanitizers and Covid-19 propaganda posters at the entrance of all workshops,” said Huong.

The enterprise disinfects the entire factory every month, Huong said, adding that the unit has not recorded any Covid-19 cases since the beginning of the year.

Production and business remain smooth, ensuring the set plan, Huong elaborated.

Many employees of Hyundai Kefico Vietnam Co., Ltd. in the expanded Dai An IP contracted Covid-19 during outbreaks in 2021, heavily affecting production and business activities.

The enterprise required all employees to wear face masks during work to protect their health. This habit has become mandatory for every worker entering the factory.

“I was infected with Covid-19 once so I understand the importance of epidemic prevention. We all disinfect our hands, wear face masks, and limit gatherings every day,” said worker Nguyen Van Bang.

The company frequently reminds the employees to abide by regulations on epidemic prevention through its radio system, Bang added.

The provincial IPs Authority regularly urges businesses to strictly take Covid-19 prevention measures, intensify propaganda to raise employees’ awareness about proactive prevention of the epidemic, and report all Covid-19 cases to the authority as directed by the provincial People's Committee.

Most enterprises have effectively implemented epidemic prevention plans, helping their production and business remain stable without being affected by Covid-19.
