16.4 billion VND aid for disadvantaged women and girls

The aid will help poor and disadvantaged women and girls improve their quality of life (illustrative image)

Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province Trieu The Hung approved the reception of non-refundable aid from France’s Hoa Trang - Fleur Blanche association on August 15.

Beneficiaries are poor and disadvantaged women and teenage girls in Hai Duong city, Thanh Ha and Cam Giang districts.

They will receive the aid, worth nearly 16.4 billion VND, equivalent to 73,471 pieces of underwear, this August and September.

The activity will contribute to protecting and improving the health of women and girls.

The provincial People’s Committee assigned the Friendship Cooperation Center under the provincial Union of Friendship Organizations to coordinate with the aid provider, Women's Unions of Hai Duong city, Thanh Ha and Cam Giang districts, and relevant bodies to receive and use the aid properly.
