By May 24, 350 enterprises outside industrial zones in Hai Duong province had employed 1,706 foreigners, according to the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs.
Foreigners working for enterprises in industrial zones are being reviewed.
Most of the foreign workers are Chinese and Korean, concentrating at enterprises in Hai Duong city, Kinh Mon provincial town, the districts of Tu Ky, Cam Giang, etc.
Since early this year, the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs has granted 121 new work permits to foreign workers, re-granted 65 work permits, and confirmed one case ineligible for work permit granting.
