On 29th December afternoon, in the provincial People's Committee, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) held the hand-over of a number of works and assets for social security activities in the province.

Comrade Pham Xuan Thang, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Comrade Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Comrade Nguyen Duong Thai, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Head of the provincial National Assembly Delegation; Comrade Vuong Duc Sang, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; Comrade Le Duc Tho, Chairman of VietinBank Board of Directors attended the hand-over ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, the provincial Party Secretary Pham Xuan Thang thanked VietinBank for always accompanying Hai Duong with practical activities. The Party Secretary highly appreciated the quality, scale and the large and efficient operation network of VietinBank. In Hai Duong, VietinBank has an impressive growth rate and good credit growth indicators which play an important role in the provincial socio-economic development. The Bank has always actively participated and made significant contributions to the overall social security activities of the province. In particular, VietinBank has made a positive and timely contribution to the prevention and control of Covid-19 pandemic in the province.
Recently, VietinBank has sponsored the construction of Cam Dong Primary School (Cam Giang), and 70 sets of desks and chairs and a 16-seat car for Hai Duong Eye and Dermatology Hospital with a total amount of nearly VND 6 billion. Previously, VietinBank also awarded VND 5 billion to the province and some supplies and necessities for the grassroots healthcare level to improve the medical capacity for Covid-19 epidemic control and prevention. Since 2010 up to now, Vietinbank has supported building houses for the poor, building schools, donating educational and medical equipment, rehabilitating and embellishing cultural works in the province with a total budget amounting to over VND 71 billion.
