Hai Duong to create most favorable conditions for South Korean investors

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Pham Xuan Thang receives Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam Park Noh-wan

Mr. Pham Xuan Thang, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Duong province, Chairman of the provincial People's Council, on August 31 morning held talks with Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam Park Noh-wan.

Mr. Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mr. Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; and other leaders of the provincial People's Committee and some departments and sectors joined in receiving and working with the RoK Embassy's delegation and representatives of Korea Land & Housing (LH) Corporation.

At the meeting, the provincial leaders briefly introduced a plan for the province's key industrial region in Binh Giang and Thanh Mien districts to the RoK Embassy's delegation.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Pham Xuan Thang affirmed that Hai Duong and its dynamic industrial region have many distinct advantages in Hong river delta to continue promoting investment attraction.

The province's key industrial region is large and has a favorable location, abundant laborers, and synchronous infrastructure, very convenient for investors, including RoK enterprises investing in hi-tech and supporting industrial projects.

The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee desired that Mr. Park Noh-wan would introduce the potential and strengths of Hai Duong and its dynamic industrial region for the RoK business community to study and invest in Hai Duong.

Hai Duong authorities will create the most favorable conditions for RoK enterprises and people to live and work there.

RoK Ambassador Park Noh-wan suggested that the provincial authorities have many more investment promotion activities for RoK enterprises to receive information and study investment.

The RoK Embassy in Vietnam is willing to act as a bridge between Hai Duong province and RoK enterprises to lure more and more capable businesses suitable to Hai Duong's development orientation to invest in the province.

Mr. Park Noh-wan proposed that the provincial authorities continue to create favorable conditions for LH Corporation to invest in Dai Hung industrial, urban, and service complex project with a scale of 304 ha and a total investment of nearly USD500 million in Dai Son commune, Tu Ky district, and other projects that RoK and Vietnamese Governments are cooperating on and implementing in Hai Duong.

RoK is currently ranking first in the number of projects and third in the amount of investment in Hai Duong with 133 projects and a total registered investment of USD1,287 million, accounting for 27.4% of the number of FDI projects and 14% of the total FDI in Hai Duong.
