Eight children in Hai Duong province have been given free surgeries for lip and cleft palate, congenital ptosis, and polydactyly.
Eight children with deformities in Hai Duong province have received free surgeries on November 6 and 7 at the Vietnam - Cuba Hospital in Ha Noi, according to the provincial the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
Four of them are from the province’s Tu Ky district, two from Cam Giang district, one from Thanh Mien district, and one from Kinh Mon provincial town.
They were given surgeries for lip and cleft palate, congenital ptosis, and polydactyly. All of them are being monitored at the hospital in stable health condition.
The surgeries were conducted thanks to a joint support program of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children and the Operation Smile Vietnam.
The Operation Smile Vietnam sponsored travel and food expenses for the patients. Surgery costs were directly paid to the hospital.
