Geographical location – Trading strategy

Hai Duong is a focal point of economic and commercial exchanges and transshipment of goods between Ha Noi capital region and Hai Phong - Quang Ninh coastal economic corridor.

The province is a connection centre of the economic development space between inland and coastal areas in the Red River Delta and directly links the economic development space of five out of seven localities in the northern key economic region, namely Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh and Hung Yen.

The impact is widespread, promoting socio-economic development in both the Red River Delta and the northern key economic region. The Tonkin Gulf coastal economic belt, the northern mountainous region, two economic corridors with China’s Kunming and Nanning, and Vietnam - China border region provide Hai Duong with a strategic position in terms of economic exchanges in the northern region.

Transparent and efficient investment approval process

The registration process for a new investment project includes investment registration certification, which takes 3 – 5 days. The Industrial Zones Authority is committed to give feedback or approval within 1 – 3 days.

Abundant industrial land

While increasingly narrow in neighboring localities like Bac Ninh, Ha Noi and Hai Phong, industrial land is still abundant in Hai Duong, favourable to promote industrial development.

Competitive industrial land rentals

Land rentals are sharply increasing in such key industrial localities as Bac Ninh and Hai Phong but cheaper in Hai Duong, from 65 to 82 USD/m2/rent term, creating competitive strength for the province in attracting foreign investment.
