[Video] Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival boasts many special activities

The offering ceremony solemnly and respectfully takes place at Nguyen Trai temple

This is one of unique traditional rituals that have been maintained for generations at the festival.

Earlier, incense, flowers, etc. were offered to the temple of World Cultural Celebrity, National Hero Nguyen Trai and Thanh Hu temple of Dai Tu Do (Minister over the Masses) Tran Nguyen Dan to pay homage to the predecessors who contributed to making the country peaceful and prosperous.

On the morning of the same day, the organizers of the banh chung and banh giay (square and round glutinous rice cakes) contest within the framework of the festival held the closing ceremony and awarded prizes.

The contest began on February 4 with the participation of artisans representing 12 localities in the province.

In the afternoon, the Organizing Board of the 2023 Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival ended the festival’s Chinese chess tournament.

The competition was organized in front of Nguyen Trai temple on the morning of February 5 with the participation of 40 players from 10 communes and wards in Chi Linh city.

Many chess games fiercely take place

Today (February 6), a lot of events are taking place at Con Son special national relic within the framework of the 2023 Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival, including water procession, the opening ceremonies of the festival and the 2023 Week of Culture, Tourism, and Trade Promotion, a clay firecracker festival, and the opening ceremony and competitions of a national wrestling tournament.

A delegation from South Korea’s Suwon city will join in a number of events.
