Top Southeast Asian runners to compete in Hai Duong heritage connection journey race

The first Hai Duong Open Cultural Heritage Connection Journey Race will feature top runners in Southeast Asia.

Nguyen Thi Oanh, the owner of four gold medals at SEA Games 32, and Nguyen Trung Cuong, another SEA Games 32 gold medalist, have registered to compete in the 15 km category of the first Hai Duong Open Cultural Heritage Connection Journey Race.

SEA Games 31 victor Bui Thi Thu Ha will compete in the 10 km category of the race. Apart from snatching a SEA Games gold medal, Ha was a national champion of all ages, and a Southeast Asian youth winner and record breaker.

Le Van Thao, SEA Games 31 bronze medalist and 2022 ASEAN University Games champion, also registered for the 10 km category.

SEA Games 31 champion Luong Duc Phuoc will join in the 5 km event.

Bui Thi Thu Ha and Le Van Thao will run for Thanh Hoa team, and the others for the Ha Noi National Sports Training Center at this tournament.

Besides the running pros, the race will feature a number of famous individuals who have participated in races over 42 km long, such as Doan Ngoc Hai, former Vice Chairman of District 1, Ho Chi Minh city.

The Cultural Heritage Connection Journey Race will kick off at Con Son - Kiep Bac special national relic site in Chi Linh city on February 26.
