Scholarships granted to 56 Hai Duong disadvantaged pupils

Representatives of the Vietnam Fund for Learning Promotion, the provincial Learning Promotion Association, Thanh Dong University, and Shinnyo-en present scholarships to disadvantaged pupils

The Hai Duong provincial Learning Promotion Association and the Vietnam Fund for Learning Promotion jointly handed over 2022 “Shinnyo-en scholarships for pupils overcoming difficulties to learn well” funded by Shinnyo-en, a Japanese charity organization, to disadvantaged pupils striving to excel in their studies on December 7 afternoon.

56 primary, junior high, and senior high school pupils in the province received the scholarships, worth more than 1 million VND each, and 56 lucky Japanese wind chimes. The majority of them are disabled or orphaned, have fatally ill parents, or belong to poor and near-poor households.

“Shinnyo-en scholarships for pupils overcoming difficulties to learn well” was initiated in 2006 with a desire to help poor pupils overcome difficulties to excel in their studies.

This is the 3rd time the charity organization has presented scholarships to pupils in Hai Duong.
