Hai Duong proposes recognition of four dishes as national brands

Bun ca ro dong, banh dau xanh, and banh cuon in Hai Duong city and cha ruoi in Tu Ky district have been proposed to be recognized as national brands.

The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has proposed the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association consider, vote, and recognize four local special dishes, namely bun ca ro dong (noodles with anabas), banh dau xanh (mung bean cake), and banh cuon (steamed rolled pancake) in Hai Duong city and cha ruoi (ragworms fried with eggs and minced pork) in Tu Ky district, as national brands.

The department informed the association about the ingredients, making method, flavor, and images of each dish in detail.

The recognition of the dishes as national brands will facilitate the popularization of images and products, contributing to promoting the development of tourism activities.

This is the first time the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has asked the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association to recognize dishes as national brands.
