[Photos] Ripe rose myrtle season on Chi Linh hills and mountains

Hills and mountains in Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province are being covered by fully ripe sim (rose myrtle) fruits, drawing a lot of visitors.

Sim is common in Bac An and Hoang Hoa Tham communes and Ben Tam ward, Chi Linh city.

Many local households grow sim for fruit. Mature trees are shaped and sold to ornamental collectors.

The ripe sim season usually lasts from June to early September. Ripe fruits are currently priced at 25,000 – 30,000 VND/ kg.

Sim fruits are often bought to eat or make syrup and wine.
