The artist announced on his Facebook page Monday that 50 additional shows have been added to his "Who I Am" world tour, naming Ho Chi Minh city and Taipei among the new stops in Asia.
Details regarding the event’s organizer or the ticket pricing for the Ho Chi Minh city show remain undisclosed.
Carter initiated the "Who I Am" world tour last year following a tour with the Backstreet Boys. His forthcoming May performance in Vietnam will be the artist’s second appearance in the country, following a performance in Ha Noi in 2011 alongside his Backstreet Boys bandmates.
Additionally, this event signifies another occasion where an international artist has selected Vietnam as a tour destination. Last year, the South Korean girl group Blackpink held two shows in Ha Noi in July, while the Irish boy band Westlife performed for two nights in Ho Chi Minh city in November.
At 44, Carter, who began his journey in the entertainment industry with the formation of the Backstreet Boys in 1993, has amassed an estimated net worth of US$35 million, as reported by Yahoo! Entertainment, with the majority of his earnings derived from his tours with the band.
