The number of visitors to Hai Duong province surged during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, driven by good weather and new tour offerings.
Hai Duong province welcomed approximately 188,355 visitors during public holidays from April 30 to May 3, including 183,594 domestic travelers and 4,761 international ones, up 32.2% and 52.9% year on year, respectively.
Tourism revenue reached 82.8 billion VND, a surge of 40% over the same period last year.
The sharp increases in visitor numbers was attributed to favorable weather conditions and the introduction of new tourism products. Notably, Con Son relic site became a hotspot with innovative tour packages such as "Heritage Journey" and "Fairy Chessboard Conquest".
Key attractions drawing large crowds included Bach Dang walking street and Tue Tinh culinary street, as well as Suot temple and Dong Ngo pagoda in Hai Duong city, which collectively attracted around 30,000 visitors. Con Son – Kiep Bac special national relic site alone recorded nearly 20,000 arrivals.
All tourism activities during the five-day public holiday marking the national reunification anniversary (April 30) and International Workers’ Day (May 1) were conducted safely and smoothly across the province.
