Some 300 million USD in FDI was disbursed in Hai Duong province in the first four months of 2024, a surge of 38% over the same period last year.
Hai Duong province attracted 118.1 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first four months of 2024, down 25% year on year, according to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.
Of the total, 78.7 million USD came from 17 new projects, 17.4 million USD was injected in nine underway projects, and the rest was from capital contribution and share purchases made by foreign investors.
Meanwhile, the total FDI disbursed in the four months approximated to 300 million USD, a surge of 38% over the same period last year.
It was thanks to FDI businesses’ urgent completion of procedures after their investment proposals were approved and acceleration of workshop construction to put their projects into operation.
Hai Duong is home to 555 FDI projects from 27 countries and territories with a total investment of over 10.4 billion USD, 8.8 billion USD of which has been disbursed.
FDI enterprises have created jobs for more than 230,000 direct workers and thousands of indirect ones.
