Hai Duong city – destination for entrepreneurs

With a favorable geographical location, Hai Duong city has full potential and opportunities for hundreds of entrepreneurs, including Truong Tu Phuong, a native of Ha Noi.

Phuong founded Dai An JSC. in 2001. The company’s first project in Hai Duong city was building and trading in Dai An industrial park (IP) on 136 ha of land in Tu Minh ward. This is also the first IP in Hai Duong province.

Since operation, Dai An IP has always been the motive force in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) from the world's leading corporations, such as Japan’s Sumitomo and the Republic of Korea’s Hyundai, to Hai Duong.

98% of the IP has been filled with approximately 90 projects with a total investment of over 2.5 billion USD, making up nearly 40% of the total investment in the province’s IPs.

The IP is providing regular jobs for more than 40,000 laborers with per capita income of 8 – 12 million VND/ month.

Thanh Hoa-born Trinh Anh Van decided to start his business in Hai Duong city after graduation from Hai Duong University of Medical Technology in 2014 and established NHV Vietnam Co., Ltd., mainly operating in the medical field, in 2019.

“Despite many difficulties in the early days because of Covid-19 outbreaks, my business is now more stable with steady increases in revenue year after year and jobs for dozens of workers in Hai Duong city,” said Van.

Ha Noi-based Green and Smart Mobility (GSM) JSC. has chosen Hai Duong city as the next destination to provide its SM green taxi service.

Nearly 300 electric cars of the carrier are now available in all localities of the province, including 150 in Hai Duong city.

The SM green taxis offer a civilized, noise-free, zero-emission method of transportation, minimizing harm to human health and having a part in turning Hai Duong city into a green, smart, friendly, and safe urban area.

“The Association of Hung Yen Countrymen in Hai Duong has over 500 members, more than 10 of them have established businesses in Hai Duong city,” said Nguyen Hai Trieu, Head of the association’s Liaison Board.

“Most of these units operate stably and effectively, making significant contributions to the local socio-economic development.

“We will always try and devote ourselves to building the city increasingly prosperous, beautiful, and civilized.”

It must be affirmed that the wealth and beauty of Hai Duong city today is significantly attributed to entrepreneurs from other localities. To them, the city is not only their second hometown but also a place that helps them realize their startup dream.
