Hai Duong city is attracting art-loving organizations, individuals, groups, and clubs inside and outside the city to register for musical performances, art and entertainment activities in the Bach Dang pedestrian and night market zone.
Traditional musical performances like cheo (traditional operetta), instrumental concerts, and puppet shows will take place there on every Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Besides, there will be contemporary art activities, such as folk and modern dance, hip-hop, exhibitions of paintings, photos, art works, handicrafts of trade villages, traditional folk games, etc.
Participating organizations and individuals will be supported with space, locations, and conditions for performances.
Art programs in the pedestrian and night market zone will contribute to honoring traditional culture and arts and bringing contemporary arts closer to the public.
Performances there must meet the State’s regulations and security and safety conditions, and ensure pure customs.
The Bach Dang pedestrian and night market zone covers Thong Nhat Square, Bach Dang street’s riverside section from Bui Thi Xuan street to Hong Quang bridge, Bui Thi Xuan street’s section from Bach Dang street to the provincial Gymnasium, Chuong Duong street’s section from Hong Quang bridge to the provincial Gymnasium, and Nguyen Hai Thanh street.
There will be three artistic performing spots, one outdoor activity site, and a reading street on Bach Dang, Chuong Duong, and Ton Duc Thang streets.
The opening of the zone is scheduled for the evening of April 28 at Thong Nhat Square.
