OVs’ investments are one of the driving forces of Hai Duong’s socio-economic development.

The province is home to 15 projects of OVs in the fields of garment, infrastructure trading, and industrial park (IP) technology, according to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

The OVs’ projects are considered stable and effective, and their companies’ products are famous in domestic and foreign markets, especially Europe.

The OV-owned businesses always make stable contributions to the budget and abide by current legal provisions.

Nguyen Hoai Bac, a native of Tu Ky district, decided to return home from Canada to start a business in 2002. He spent 2 million USD establishing Home Deco Co., Ltd. specializing in blanket, pillow, and cushion production.

Two years later, he founded Dai Son Development and Investment JSC. to carry out construction projects in Chi Linh city.

Both enterprises have so far steadily developed with stable production and business and created jobs for many laborers.

Bac has also spent a lot of time and effort building the Vietnam-Canada Vocational Training School in Cong Hoa ward, Chi Linh city to meet labor export demand.

An OV in the UK invested in Dong Tai International Co., Ltd. in Kim Thanh district in 1998 for garment production and export. With about 700 workers, the firm annually exports 1.2 million products.

The company has always strived to innovate and built a brand and reputation in major markets for the past more than 20 years.

In particular, the enterprise flexibly adapted to difficulties caused by Covid-19 and economic recession, sought new export markets, and exploited the domestic one.

Phu Thai IP was built in Kim Thanh district by Nam Tai International Co., Ltd., whose owner is an OV in the UK, with an investment of nearly 40 million USD.

Having operated since 2008, the IP is now basically filled with dozens of secondary investors and a total investment of more than 150 million USD.

Phu Thai IP is a plus point in attracting investment to the province. After investment in industrial infrastructure, the investor has lured many more business owners who are OVs to learn about and be interested in investing in the province.

Besides, Hai Duong has not only sought and invited projects of OVs but also actively accompanied and removed difficulties and obstacles of active projects over the past time.
