Businessman forms first U9 football team in Hai Duong

The U9 football team was founded to develop successive generations for U11 and U13 Hai Duong teams and participate in the national U9 tournament this August.

Nguyen Dinh Giang is the director of Gia Bao Co., Ltd., a famous mung bean cake producer in Hai Duong province. He has for years sponsored the U11 Gia Bao Hai Duong football team, contributing to helping the team win five national championships.

Giang has recently founded the first U9 football team in Hai Duong, also called Gia Bao Hai Duong, with the goals of developing successive generations for U11 and U13 Hai Duong teams and participating in the national U9 tournament this August.

The U9 team has 20 players, selected from various localities in the province. They are led by experienced coach Nguyen Hung Hoang, who turned the U10 Tu Ky team into the strongest one in Hai Duong at present.

All members of the U9 team are living at Giang’s house and practicing at Do Luong Stadium under the Hai Duong Sports Training and Playing Center.

The team will practice at the provincial Gymnasium in the near future to get familiar with the field before competing in the National U9 Football Tournament for Toyota Cup 2024, scheduled for August 10 – 26 in Pleiku city, Gia Lai province.
