Music lovers enjoyed a memorable weekend with Blackpink’s first-ever shows in Vietnam, which marked the conclusion of the group’s Born Pink world tour.
The girl group left fans in Vietnam with lingering excitement even after the two-night concert had concluded.
Many fans, including 18-year-old Hanoian Viet An, say they will never forget the moment when concert-goers brought their light sticks to My Dinh National Stadium and grooved to the rhythm of Blackpink’s songs.
Fireworks were also used during the opening of the July 29 show. An estimated 30,000 attendees went to the show, carrying light sticks and creating a “pink ocean” at the national stadium.
Blackpink opened both shows on July 29 and 30 with their global hit “How You Like That.”
The global girl group showed their appreciation towards Vietnamese fans with their efforts learning how to say “I love Vietnam” in the local language prior to the shows.
Miss Vietnam 2018 runner-up Phuong Nga, also a longtime Blackpink fan, attended both shows. She cried over how sweetly Blackpink treated Vietnamese fans.
Many fans called the Ha Noi concerts a “visual feast,” as the group members appeared flawless and energetic.
Blackpink is considered by many the top girl group in the world. More than 900,000 tickets for their world tour, which started late last year, were sold worldwide, while their YouTube channel is the most viewed on the platform, with over 30 billion views as of April 2023.
The group is well-known for their visuals, catchy songs, attractive choreographies, and good sense of style.
Many international fans praised how well the pyro were integrated in the girl group’s performances.
“Fireworks at the Ha Noi concerts were even better than those in Singapore,” a netizen who goes by the name of Anna on TikTok said.
Nga, who attended the group’s concert in Thailand, also says the Ha Noi concerts were of a larger scale.
