That Hung oranges sold out

People make a profit of about 450 million VND/ ha of oranges

According to Nguyen Van Quang, Director of That Hung Clean Agricultural Product Production and Selling Cooperative in Kinh Mon provincial town, by January 16, oranges in That Hung had been sold out for 55,000 VND/ kg, double the same period last year.

This year, because of abnormal weather, the productivity of oranges only reached 17 tons/ ha, down by about half. People made a profit of about 450 million VND/ ha.

That Hung oranges are grown organically and thus yield succulent, golden, very sweet, and mildly aromatic fruits that have been granted a 4-star OCOP certificate.

Thanks to their beautiful appearance and good quality, many people ordered oranges for presentation on Tet (Lunar New Year) occasion. They were mainly consumed in Hai Phong, Ha Noi, and Quang Ninh.

That Hung ward has more than 25 ha of oranges, mostly in Vu Xa residential area.
