Ha Truc Linh crowned Miss Vietnam 2024
With her outstanding performance throughout the competition, contestant Ha Truc Linh, 21, from Phu Yen province, won the highest title of Miss Vietnam 2024 pageant.
A candidate from the southern province of Phu Yen, Ha Truc Linh, has triumphed over 24 other contestants to win the crown of Miss Vietnam 2024.
The final night of the beauty pageant took place on a floating stage on the Huong (Perfume) river in Hue city. In this round, the finalists showcased their beauty and talent in traditional ao dai (Vietnamese long dress), swimsuits, and evening gowns.
With her outstanding performance throughout the competition, contestant Ha Truc Linh, 21, won the highest title of Miss Vietnam 2024 pageant.
Linh has a radiant face, stands 1.72 metres tall, and has body measurements of 80-59-95 cm. In the reality show segment of the programme, she excelled in various challenges.
Linh previously won the title of Miss Finance Marketing University. Since childhood, she has actively participated in school activities and has won numerous awards in mathematics and English.
The 21-year-old was recognised as one of the standout contestants from the beginning of the competition, possessing an attractive figure and a bright smile.
In addition to her beauty and outstanding achievements, Linh made a strong impression with her communication skills and confident manner.
The first and second runner-up titles were awarded to Tran Ngoc Chau Anh from Ha Noi and Nguyen Thi Van Nhi from Hai Phong city, respectively.
Linh said that she still feels overwhelmed and had not anticipated winning the crown.
"Miss Vietnam is my dream, and I see it as a motivation to develop and improve myself. I am happy to participate in the competition and receive attention and love from everyone. I was surprised that the other contestants recognised my efforts throughout the journey. When everyone rushed to hug and congratulate me on winning the title, I couldn't help but cry," Linh said after the event.
Miss Vietnam is a prestigious beauty pageant organised by Tien Phong newspaper. It was first held in 1988 and aims to celebrate beauty, talent, and intelligence among Vietnamese women. Held every two years, the competition has garnered significant attention and is considered one of the most respected beauty contests in Vietnam.
Miss Vietnam 2024 kicked off at the end of last year, attracting thousands of applicants. The organisers selected a top 60, then narrowed it down to 45, and finally announced a list of 25 finalists. The pageant does not accept contestants who have undergone cosmetic surgery, aiming to find natural and authentic beauty.
Miss Vietnam 2024 introduced a new format by incorporating reality television for the first time, featuring 10 episodes on digital platforms. This change allows the audience to follow the contestants' training processes and observe their styles and soft skills.
