Hai Duong Hai Phong to announce merger on June 30 morning
The ceremony announcing the merger of Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city will take place at 8 am on June 30 with the attendance of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
The Office of the Party Central Committee has announced a directive of the Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat regarding the organization of ceremonies to announce resolutions on the merger of provincial-level administrative units, the establishment of new provincial and municipal Party committees, and the appointment of local leadership nationwide.
Accordingly, the ceremonies will be held uniformly across the country at 8 am on June 30, 2025.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to attend and direct the ceremony in Hai Phong city.
The Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat asked localities to strengthen information dissemination and public communication to foster an atmosphere of enthusiasm and unity, making the announcement events a true celebration for the people.
Localities are also required to closely coordinate with the Office of the Party Central Committee and other relevant Central agencies in organizing the ceremonies. They must ensure thorough preparations, arrange live television broadcasts, and guarantee that the events will be conducted thoughtfully, safely, practically, and effectively, avoiding formality and wastefulness.
