Hai Duong, Vientiane eye stronger friendship
A recent working visit of Hai Duong provincial delegation is expected to further deepen the special friendship between Hai Duong and Laos’ Vientiane province.

A delegation from the Hai Duong provincial People’s Council, headed by Standing Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich, paid a working visit to Vientiane province, Laos, on June 18.
In a cordial atmosphere, leaders of Vientiane province expressed their pleasure in welcoming the delegation from Hai Duong and highly appreciated the strong and lasting ties between the two localities over the past 41 years.

The Vientiane leaders praised Hai Duong’s practical support, including the construction of a kindergarten in Vientiane; the upgrading of the Hai Duong – Vientiane Cooperation Center; and Hai Duong’s active contribution to human resource training for Vientiane, particularly in the field of sports.
Through this working session, the Vientiane leaders affirmed that the strong friendship between Hai Duong and Vientiane is a vivid symbol of the deep bond and special cooperation between the two localities. Vientiane pledged to continue fostering favorable conditions to nurture and further develop this traditional friendship in a deeper and more effective manner.

In response to the warm sentiments of the Vientiane leaders, Standing Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich expressed her delight at the robust development of Vientiane province. She emphasized that the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Hai Duong and Vientiane in particular, is a valuable asset nurtured over generations.
She also shared updates on Hai Duong’s recent development, especially in the post-COVID-19 period. The province is implementing various investment attraction policies, with a focus on developing green and sustainable industrial parks and clusters.

Leaders from both sides reaffirmed their desire to further strengthen the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between Hai Duong and Vientiane in the coming time.
On this occasion, Standing Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich extended an invitation to Vientiane’s delegations to visit Hai Duong, in an effort to continue fostering the strong cooperation tradition between the two localities.
