Hai Duong city’s Ring Road I to link regions and expand urban development space
Ring Road I of Hai Duong city is a strategic traffic project expected to expand the city’s urban development space.

Strategic connectivity
Ring Road I of Hai Duong city is planned to stretch over 30 km, running through Hai Duong city and the districts of Nam Sach, Gia Loc, and Cam Giang, according to the Department of Construction of Hai Duong province.
The road will start at the junction with Vo Nguyen Giap Boulevard, then sequentially intersect with National Highway 37 in Thach Khoi ward, Provincial Road 391 in Ngoc Son commune, Provincial Road 390C in Tien Tien commune, and Provincial Road 390 in Quyet Thang commune. It will continue along the alignment of Provincial Road 390 to Ben Han T-junction and then intersect with Provincial Road 390D, both in An Thuong commune.
From here, the route will cross the Thai Binh river, connecting Minh Tan commune in Nam Sach district with Duc Chinh commune in Cam Giang district. The next segment will follow part of District Road 194B, intersect with National Highway 5 in Tu Minh ward, and continue through the main axis of Dai An industrial park.
It will proceed along Vu Cong Dan road, turn left to cross the Sat river, and loop back to the intersection with Vo Nguyen Giap Boulevard.
According to Hai Duong city's general planning until 2030, the route is set to be built to at least class II standards, with a roadbed width of 42 m.
In the context of the ongoing merger of administrative units, Ring Road I is also expected to play a key role in direct connection to Hai Phong city. The two localities have proposed a transportation project of approximately 23.5 km in length, linking Ring Road I of Hai Duong city with the junction of National Highway 10 and Nguyen Truong To street in An Duong district, Hai Phong city.
Spatial development axis

To date, portions of Ring Road I have already been constructed and put into use, including Vo Van Kiet Boulevard (over 5.67 km long), more than 3 km overlapping with Provincial Road 390, and 3.5 km running through Dai An industrial park.
Several other projects are underway. One is the construction of a 3.5-km section of Ring Road I from Vo Nguyen Giap Boulevard to the extended Dai An industrial park, with a road width ranging from 32.5 to 42 m. The section will start at Vo Nguyen Giap Boulevard in Lien Hong commune, Hai Duong city and end at a bridge across the Kim Son river in Thong Nhat commune, Gia Loc district.
Another ongoing project is the construction of a bridge across the Thai Binh river and approaches, connecting Provincial Road 391 and Provincial Road 390C. The bridge will be approximately 663 m long and 22.5 m wide; the road section from Provincial Road 391 to the bridge will be about 0.437 km; and the segment from the bridge to Provincial Road 390C will be 1.4 km long.
