Hai Duong Party chief works with Lao Party’s External Relations Commission
Acting Head of the Lao Party’s External Relations Commission Bounleua Phandanouvong hoped that the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Hai Duong and Vientiane in particular, will continue to grow stronger.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Duong province Tran Duc Thang received and held talks with a delegation from the External Relations Commission of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, led by Bounleua Phandanouvong, acting head of the commission, on the afternoon of June 3.
Secretary Tran Duc Thang expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Lao delegation and emphasized that the Vietnam – Laos friendship has been continuously nurtured by generations of leaders and people of both countries.

More than 40 years ago, on October 19, 1984, Hai Duong province and Vientiane province of Laos signed a cooperation and twinning agreement, marking the beginning of the relationship between the two localities. Over the past four decades, they have carried out many practical and effective cooperative activities.
At the meeting, Secretary Tran Duc Thang provided an overview of Hai Duong's favorable geographical position and outstanding achievements in socio-economic development. He also shared results and experiences in attracting foreign direct investment, as well as in streamlining government and administrative structures for greater efficiency.

The provincial Party chief affirmed that these achievements stem from Hai Duong’s strong focus on administrative reform, improvement of the investment environment, simplification of procedures, and streamlined licensing processes to support and create the most favorable conditions for investors. The province has also invested in synchronous infrastructure, improved human resource quality, and maintained political and social stability in the locality.
Acting Head of the Lao Party’s External Relations Commission Bounleua Phandanouvong noted that this is his first official overseas visit in his new position, taking place shortly after important diplomatic events between Vietnam and Laos over the past time.

He also expressed his hope that the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Hai Duong and Vientiane in particular, will continue to grow stronger with increasingly effective activities.
